Focus: Offensive Skills Evaluation

Dribbling 15 minutes

  1. Ball drills (5 minutes) Evaluation: Dribble Walk 1:00
  2. 2 ball partner dribbling (5 minutes) (Together, alternating, wipers, crossover, between legs) 
  3. 2-ball full court (together, alternating, crossover, between legs, behind back) 

Shooting 16 minutes (1 rebounder & 1 shooter)

  1. 1 hand shooting (4 minutes each) Evaluation: range in feet
  2. 2 hand shooting (4 minutes each) Evaluation: range in feet

Individual Lay-ups 4 minutes (1X for each drill to get starting point 0:30 each drill) 

  1. Mini-mikans
  2. Mikan lay-ups
  3. Mikan drill
  4. X-out
  5. Star drill

Weak hand lay-ups (4 minutes / 0:30 each drill)

  1. Just shoot (feet planted)
  2. Elbow and knee Keep plant foot
  3. 2 feet, 1 step, & no dribble
  4. 2 dribble GREAT footwork

TEAM lay-ups (5 minutes) 

  1. 20 weak hand lay-ups
  2. V-cut series

Triple Threat Scoring Series 10 minutes (1 minute per move)

  1. Left baseline 
    1. shot fake, rip to hip, front lay-up & reverse lay-up
    2. shot fake, rip to hip, reverse lay-up
  2. Left wing 
    1. shot fake & go, right reverse hand lay-up 
    2. shot fake, rip to hip, left hand lay-up 
  3. Top of key
    1. shot fake & go, right hand lay-up 
    2. shot fake, rip to hip, left hand lay-up 
  4. Right wing
    1. shot fake & go, right hand lay-up 
    2. shot fake, rip to hip, left hand reverse lay-up
  5. Right baseline
    1. shot fake & go, power lay-up
    2. shot fake, rip to hip, right hand under the rim reverse lay-up

Scrimmage 1 vs. 1, 3 vs. 3. Full court
